Errol Flynn Marina has a designated helicopter landing area with parking for up to four helicopters. Coordinates are 18°10.7’N, 76°27.3′ W, Elevation, sea level. The landing area is located at the south end of West Harbour adjacent to the launching ramp.
The Errol Flynn Marina offers 32 fixed dockage berths (European) and excellent facilities for a superior yachting experience in one of the world’s most beautiful and protected harbours.
Errol Flynn Marina has the distinction of being the only Caribbean marina capable of handling the largest yachts in the world.Our face dock accomodates vessels to 350′ and 24′ draft Med style. However, our “giga-yacht” dock can accommodate a vessel to 600′ and 32′ draft alongside. In addition, our turning basin can accommodate yachts of any size. HISTORY
The Jamaica Yacht Club was formed in 1884 by a group of enthusiastic sailors. On the 29th of November 1889, the Club was granted a Royal Charter by Queen Victoria following a visit by Prince Edward, then the Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VII. Until 1962, when Jamaica became an independent nation within the Commonwealth, the Commodores were all Governors of Jamaica, whether or not they were yachtsmen. In 1963 the Commodore was chosen for the first time from the membership of the Club.
